Hymn for Amphitrite
Silver mirrors - they float on the sea
The deep waters are my mirror. It's me.
White petals scattered on the surface
These coral reefs might bring sweet death.
Embrace me, Amphitrite -
Hold me
Your hair is blue and wet and I drown in it - She says to me
"I'll swim to you if you want me to,
I'll sing for you if you want me to
Do you hear me through the shell?
Does my voice surge through the wishing well?"
Powerful, healing
Down the sea bed with the surface as my ceiling
I create a home, to rest in peace
I breathe and I sing a melody -
Now a siren -
Amphitrite brought my remedy
